Question: How can I determine if this Wireless Broadband Point to Point Equipment will work
for my application?
Answer:
A “site survey” is the first step of the process. The site survey allows us
to determine what local factors will affect the path from building to building.
During the first site survey, mounting locations, physical building attributes,
and available utilities are preliminarily determined. Further Site Surveys may be
required before final installation. Step two is the generation of a “path analysis”.
The path analysis will determine obstructions past the available line of site (LoS),
and helps determine what equipment (Antenna sizes) will bring the link quality to
99.999% availability. The combination of these two steps will largely determine
the availability and quality of the wireless Point to Point link.
